How can we build better ways of doing things?

CESCIL Canadian Emergency Services Collaborative Innovation Lab-3

We're here to support innovation across emergency services.

We believe that people who support their communities through crisis deserve the knowledge, tools and relationships they need to do shape better ways of doing this work.

Here's what we're building:

Shared Learning

Case studies, roundtable discussions, and interviews, shared through podcasts and newsletters.

Facilitated Discussions

Roundtables held under the Chatham House Rule - so people can compare notes and learn from real practice (not the polished version).

Peer Network
This work can feel isolating. There's nothing like connecting with someone who's been there. We're building a peer network, with clear rules of engagement, to learn from and learn with.
Projects
Built around what surfaces through our discussions and network. Connecting across boundaries to build the team the work needs: practitioners, researchers, industry, government, communities.
Momentum
Each project, each discussion, and each relationship teaches us how to do this better, and adds to what's possible. This work builds on itself.

Build with us

Figure out how you can use what you know to help, and connect with others doing the same.
